§ 39.033. NAMING OF METRO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY.

  • Metro Government-owned property, including a building, campus, park, or park like facility, may only be named with the recommendation of Louisville Metro Director of Facilities Management and approval by Louisville Metro Council. Applications to name a Metro Government-owned property must be submitted for review to the Louisville Metro Director of Facilities Management, or his or her designee. The office of the Louisville Metro Director of Facilities Management will provide the necessary applications for the naming process. If the Louisville Metro Director of Facilities Management, or his or her designee, recommends approval of an application to name a Metro Government-owned property, his or her recommendation is to advance to the Louisville Metro Council for consideration and a committee meeting. Final approval of the application requires a majority vote by the Louisville Metro Council or the application is rejected and may not be resubmitted for a period of two years.
