§ 39.061. CONSTABLES SHALL NOT USE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT.

  • (A) Jefferson County Constables shall not equip their vehicles with emergency equipment that includes one or more flashing, rotating or oscillating blue lights, visible under normal atmospheric condition from a distance of 500 feet to the front of such vehicle, and a siren, whistle or bell, capable of emitting a sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 500 feet, unless authorized by the Louisville Metro Council.
    (B) A Constable who violates this section shall be deemed guilty of a Class B misdemeanor in accordance with KRS 189.993(11)(b).
