§ 36.50. ESTABLISHMENT.

There is hereby created a Citizens Commission on Police Accountability ("Commission") for the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government to review police investigations in all police shooting cases and incidents involving loss of life due to police action. The Commission shall review all such investigations but, if a criminal investigation is involved, it shall not review the incident until the criminal investigation is closed. The Commission shall advise the Mayor and the Chief of Police on matters relating to the quality and adequacy of such investigations and may recommend changes in police policy, training and procedures as a result of its review.
